MSNBC: Let One Hundred Viewers Bloom

Ed Driscoll » MSNBC: Let One Hundred Viewers Bloom

My initial reaction to the slogan "Lean Forward" was that the sniggerring coffee lounge revolutionaries of MSNBC were inspired not by the late 1950s "Great Leap Forward" but by an earlier Mao quote "Lean to one side." Under that slogan they allied with the Soviets and then lead the "Non-aligned" movement into an alliance with the Communists against the "Imperialist" West.

Here are some offerings I gave to the gods of juvenalia on Twitter for MSNBC/ CNN slogans:

"Bad taste in women means good taste in banter"
"We have your number. You want ours?"
"There's Law and then there's Ethics"
"We're (client) #9 but rising fast!"
"Political Viagra"
"Wonk Wankers"
